China CITIC Bank Partners With Local Airline For Dual-Currency Card

has launched a dual currency credit card co-branded with one of the top local airlines. The CNCBI Air China Dual Currency Credit Card is an aviation co-branded credit card denominated in Hong Kong dollars and Renminbi in partnership with Air China, the firm said in a statement. Spending in Mainland China is settled in RMB, while Hong Kong and overseas spending is settled in HKD. The product is supported by China CITIC Bank Corporation, the parent bank. "This not only underscores China CITIC Bank's operating philosophy of 'cross-border synergy and innovative development,' it also marks a milestone for the tripartite partnership," commented Dr Chen Xiaoxian, chairman of CNCBI. CNCBI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CITIC International Financial Holdings, which in turn is 70.32 per cent-owned by China CITIC Bank and 29.68 per cent-owned by Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria.
